Hamilton] KATHRYN BUECHLER AUCH Funeral services were held February 20, 2006 at Faith Lutheran Church for Kathryn Auch of Pierre.Pastor Brad Urbach officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery.Kathryn Buechler was born December 19, 1910 to George and Christina (Frey) Buechler in Bon Homme County south west of Tripp, SD and died February 17, 2006 at Maryhouse Nursing Care Center in Pierre, at the age of 95 years, one month and 29 days.She grew up in Tripp until she was 10 years old when she and her family moved southwest of Highmore.She took great joy working in her flower and vegetable garden.The family remembers the wonderful German meals she prepared.They moved to Harrold, where they raised their family and lived for 56 years.In Harrold, she was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, the ladies guild and Senior Citizens Center.
In Pierre, she was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Forever Young and Dorcas Circle. Organizations/Civic: United Methodist Church; Soil Conservation supervisor.
He was a Mason of high degree, and said to be about the best posted in the state.

She attended school at South Gage School southwest of Highmore.
She completed seventh grade and then left school to help on the family farm. She was united in marriage to Herbert Auch in Miller, SD at the Lutheran Parsonage on May 16, 1935.
Deceased was born in Genesee County, New York, March, 1839. He served as colonel of the Seventy-fifth Illinois regiment during the war, and was promoted to Brigadier General for valor during the battles of Chickamauga, Mission Ridge, Atlanta, etc.
